Inspiring Bird Videos

Before getting Apollo I probably watched a million parrot videos on YouTube. These are a few of the best ones I’ve come across because they prove how intelligent budgies really are and how well they do living as pets.

This video is a BBC special on the Youtube superstar Disco. He’s got tons of videos showing all the different phrases he can say. One of my favourites being: “Can I has cheeseburger?”

I actually didn’t come across Wiki until more recently, but he is an awesome example of a budgie’s ability to learn tricks. You can see from this video how much budgies love to play and learn.

Dr. Irene Pepperberg and her African Grey, Alex, proved that parrots can not only mimic human speech, but have cognitive abilities that are similar to a three year old human.
